Kà is a Cirque du Soleil production that is performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is considered to be the first Cirque du Soleil show that involves a well-organized storyline. It is described as the tale of, "the coming of age of a young man and a young woman through their encounters with love, conflict and the duality of Kà, the fire that can unite or separate, destroy or illuminate." The title “Kà” refers to the Egyptian belief in the “Kà” which is “an invisible spiritual duplicate of the body that accompanies every human being throughout this life and into the next.” The production and theatre it takes place in cost $165 million to develop. There are over 300 people involved in the production of the show including technicians, support staff, artists, and performers.
